Fire power

The BMP-2 armament system allows to fight effectively against ground and aerial targets. Combat operations in mountainous area necessitate the BMP-2 employment due to high elevation of the BMP-2 gun. The BMP-2 fire control system enables the vehicle to conduct fire overland and afloat.

The BMP-2 armament system comprises  a 30-mm automatic gun 2A42 stabilized in two planes, a 7.62 mm machine gun PKTM mounted coaxially with the gun and Konkurs ATGM system located on the turret top. The firing ports for firing from troopers small arms are in the vehicle hull.
